 Mepha is the founder and the Managing Director of BOLETSHE HOLDINGS (PTY) LTD and BOLETSHE TRADING ENTERPRISE CC. Prior to starting the two companies, he worked for various mining companies in South Africa starting from November 1994 to February 2011.
 
His work experience in the mine occupational health, hygiene and mine environmental control started at Hartebeesfontein Gold Mine in November 1994 as Trainee Mine Ventilation Officer and continued to work until May 2000 where left as Mine Ventilation Officer.
 
He then join LONMIN Platinum in June 2000 where he worked as Senior Mine Ventilation Officer and in September 2005 he was appointed as Sectional Mine Ventilation Officer and carried legal appointment in terms of Section 12(1) of the Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996 July 2006.
 
He moved to join Xstrata Alloys Chrome Mines Division (GLENCORE Operations South) in August 2006 as Occupational Health and Hygiene Superintendent and continued to carry legal appointment in terms of Section 12(1) of the Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996 until February 2011.
 
He has the following National Skills Qualifications, that is:
  • Mine Environmental Control/ Occupational Hygiene (Serial No. 902) issued by Chamber of Mine of South Africa under the administration of University of South Africa,
  • National Certificate in Noise Control (Serial No. 14335) from University of South Africa.
He has also short course certificates in:
  • Mine Ventilation Planning from University of Pretoria,
  • Incident Lead Investigator Training Program (ICAM) from Safety Wise Solution (Australian Firm) and
  • Introduction to Safety, Health and Environmental Risk Assessment and Management (Serial No. CEM-05.2.1d/0037/08) from Centre for Environmental Management at North-West University.
Currently, Mepha is carrying legal appointment in terms of Section 12(1) of the Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996 as amended for three (03) employers around Northern Cape Province in South Africa.
